Jeri Helfer is the Head Volleyball Coach at Newark Catholic High School and Director of the New Wave Volleyball Club. Her overall record in 9 years at NC is 198-47, during which she has led the Greenwave to a 2004 Division III State Championship, a 2005 Division IV State Runner-Up, 6 MSL titles, 5 District Championships, Regional Semi-Finals in 2003. Her teams have played in 4 of the last 5 State Final Fours. She was named Coach of the Year in the MSL and Central District in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, and 2008 along with receiving the state Distinguished Coach Award in Division III in 2003 & Division IV in 2005. Jeri came to NC from Otterbein College, where she was an assistant for 8 years. She also coached in the Westerville Club Volleyball program during that time winning the 18-and-under Ohio Valley Regional Championships. Jeri played collegiate volleyball at Capital University.
